InNORvation’25: Ideas in Motion Among the Norwegian Fjords

There are places that inspire and moments that mark a shift in perspective. InNORvation’25, the summit organized by The Superyacht Group and hosted by DNV, was both. This first edition brought together over 50 carefully selected professionals from the international yachting industry to collectively imagine the future of the sector. Among them was Captain Dario Savino, member of Italian Yacht Masters, who participated as the sole representative of our association.

In the heart of the Norwegian fjords, far from shipyards and trade show halls, DNV succeeded in creating an extraordinary environment: round tables, high-level discussions, open exchanges, but also nature hikes, unspoiled landscapes and clean air capable of inspiring new ways of thinking.

The summit gathered designers, shipyards, owners, managers, insurers, captains, and technology innovators from all over Europe, with cross-cutting expertise in energy efficiency, battery technology, hydrogen, sustainability, and system integration. All were called upon to collaborate without barriers, in an informal yet highly productive setting.

The themes addressed conveyed both a strong sense of urgency and a tangible sense of possibility: reducing fossil fuel use, accelerating the industry’s energy transition, and building a more cohesive and aware professional community. Far from “business as usual”, InNORvation’25 represented a new way of driving innovation: experiential, collaborative, authentic.

As an association, we are proud that one of our Captains was invited to take part in such a forward-thinking working group. It confirms that our network is increasingly involved in real change processes.

It has already been confirmed that the next edition, InNORvation’26, will be held in June next year, and we will be ready once again to bring the voice of those who navigate responsibly toward the future.
