From March 5th to 8th, IYM representatives had the opportunity to participate in Convergence 2024 by Ferretti in Madrid, focusing on the future of yachting.
This event, tailored for Captains and Chief Engineers, delved into the role of A.I. in yachting and emerging technologies in surface protection.
The 17th edition of Convergence brought together over 130 maritime leaders, alongside technical partners and experts, totaling over 200 participants engaging in knowledge sharing and team building exercises.
The inaugural address by Stefano de Vivo, Chief Commercial Officer of Ferretti Group, provided a comprehensive overview of the financial landscape and unveiled new models, ongoing projects, and innovations the group is spearheading.
The gathering provided a wide space for education, especially during the second day, hosting two workshops featuring international partners and professionals. The morning session explored "Artificial Intelligence: What will be the impact of new computing technologies on the yachting world?" while the latter workshop delved into "The new frontiers of surfaces: advanced finishing, enhanced protection, and simplified maintenance." Thanks to IYM Captains Gianluca Aprile, Lorenzo Grassi, Antonio Spina, and Emilio Veronese for being part of this experience.
