RINA Italian Superyacht Green Technical Committee

Yesterday, June 19th, the third meeting of the RINA Italian Superyacht Green Technical Committee took place at the Club Nautico di Viareggio also in attendance was Giosuè Vezzuto, Executive Vice President Marine at RINA. This annual meeting aims to raise awareness about sustainability among Italian shipyards. The event was opened by Lorenzo Pollicardo, Technical & Environmental Director of the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss), and featured Giuseppe Zagaria from RINA as a panelist. The event held special significance for Italian Yacht Masters, who awarded a special recognition to Giorgio Gallo from RINA. Gallo was honored with the title of Ambassador of Italian Yacht Masters for his expertise in the yachting industry and his valuable contributions to the association, from its inception. The plaque was presented by IYM Vice President Maurizio Capitani, who highlighted the strong connection between RINA and Italian Yacht Masters, both of which represent Italian excellence globally. Furthermore, thanks to the #SteeringToGreen program, the association has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to environmental issues, promoting numerous initiatives to foster green solutions and sustainable culture within the industry.
