On March 19th, the first-ever Yachtie Career Open Day took place at the Waterfront Marina hosted by the Genoa Superyacht Hub and the Professional Yachting Association, and IYM is proud to have participated and, above all, interacted with the future generation of the superyacht industry. Topics such as crew management, necessary certifications for working aboard and/or becoming a Captain, and the ongoing energy transition within this sector were thoroughly discussed. The event saw esteemed yacht captains, recruiters, PYA representatives, and consultants converging in Genoa to address these and other pivotal questions. The day offered promising career opportunities, networking with leading recruiters, insights from career professionals, and access to expert advice on professional training. IYM to echo the words of Captain Manuel Mariotti, board member of the association: IYM is at the forefront of guiding the new generations, and this is just a small contribution from IYM to the future generations entering the yachting world [...]. I hope that more initiatives on youth guidance in this sector are promoted; the international yachting world needs a new generation, more prepared and aware of the job opportunities offered by the market." For Italian Yacht Masters association it was an honor to share expertise and offer practical advice to newcomers stepping into the world of yachting for the first time.
